“After the first listen it’s obvious: “” goes that extra mile where “Witchcult Today” stopped three years ago. The inexplicable occult, the urge for blood, the astronomy, the devil worshiping, the taste for old necroporn and horror movies, the overuse of prohibited substances that lead to colorful narcosatanism, are rich soil for the eight dope smoking acid doom songs that drag you by your hair down that awful pit. Straight to Purgatory where horny female SS camp commanders called Helga throw you in a cell with followers of Aleister, H.P., Anton or Lucifer himself.
All eight incantations call forth the demon and lesser devils to witness the fact that all has been recorded analogue in the Toerag Studios in London, under the capable guidance of Liam Watson. That will explain the fantastic seventies feel to the record. Strongest assets of are still the strong rhythm section, the vocals and the immense strong riffing that always capture your attention. Just listen to “Venus In Furs”, “Night Child”, the great “Scorpio Curse” and my favourite “Satyr IX”. Also Drugula (gotta love that spelling!) makes a return in “Crypt Of Drugula”. “” is a helluva ride that was worth the long three year wait. Ave Sathanas!”
