“A pleasant surprise is opening track “The Cave”; pretty laid-back, almost floating, but very tasteful. With the second song the band reveals their true nature; the solid, straight forward stoner rocker “Let Your Dragon Fly”, which is pretty standard but very catchy. Actually the stoner of can be called pretty average, but it’s the final touche in details which make the difference. Take “Remains” for example; the guitar solo and some after beats are true works of art. The creative use of the guitar sound in combination with the riff contribute to a great bite in “Fire Baby”. Speaking of riffs; the band shows how an obstinate arrangement can be extremely catchy with the marvelous “The Pig And The Haunted”. There is just one minor thing: I cannot match the lack of depth in the overall sound of some parts and the buzzing sound of the cymbals in combination with the almost perfect feedback, beeps, and hearable finger movements over the strings when this is very fitting. Especially in the longer tracks (something I usually can really appreciate) the production could have added much more tension in the sound. Despite these side notes I must say this album can be quite enjoyable.”
