“With playing the song “Keep On Swinging” during recent live shows, releasing the preview which can found below and the release of the great “Pressure And Time” last year, has put the bar high. We got a sneak peak on the new record during the interview we had with the band a while ago. We know the band makes genuine rock from “Pressure And Time”. On that album the band was heavily inspired by music from the seventies.
On “Head Dow”‘ we can also hear sixties influences. It is interesting to know the band used equipment from that era on purpose, just because it fits the best with the music on “”. On “Until The Sun Comes”, the singing by Jay Buchanan is in a way it could easily have been recorded in the sixties. Next to that there is more usage of overdub on the singing, which also reminds of the sixties. Another tracks which springs out is “All The Way”. The lyrics are not to serious and go together with musical tricks by Scot Holliday, on which his characteristic combinations of riffs and slides are eminent. Other highlights are the already live played “Keep On Swinging”, the up-tempo “Wild Animal” and laden “The Heist”. On the other hand there is the modest “Jordan” on the record as well. On this track we can again hear how versatile Jay Buchanan’s voice is.
With “Pressure And Time” released an excellent album only just a year ago. With “” the band has exceeded this achievement with an excellent sound, also courtesy of the equipment, the variety which the band is so well capable of in vocals as well as on guitar. And of course the great songs again. The last tour has only just ended, let the next one come!”
