“I absolutely love by . It’s chill, it’s metal, it’s kinda stoney, it’s psychedelic, it’s doom, it’s bluesy, it’s well thought out’all in all: It’s a solid album. What really comes to mind, is if Electric Wizard and Kadavar had a baby and it was a really laid back kid. That’s how I envision Samara. But in all reality, it’s one of those albums that you can listen to in almost any situation and be really happy about it. The guitars are stonery and solid, the bass carries the music in and out of each song, and the drums are pretty much perfect. Of course I am going to like the vocals too ‘ great tone out of the lead vocalist, Ian Graham and beautiful backups by Lisa Alley. They complement each other very well and it really solidifies their sound.”
“My favorite song off the album is “Eternal Well”. It’s jammy but not in an annoying way at all. It’s well put together and I actually like the guitar solo that comes to the forefront with the alluring vocals in the background. I wasn’t really considering it heavy at all at first, but listening to it a few times, they got some real heavy tones on this album ‘ especially the first and final songs: “Live To Kill’ and “Dragon Snort”. I can tell you that I am jamming out on my chair right now, really getting into the rhythm of the bass.”
“Living in Austin, I’ve seen twice. Their passion for their unique sound really shines through and the entire crowd is super into it. They are definitely worth checking out. Not only do I respect their sound, their ability to play their instruments well, but I really like the spirit in their music. It’s spirit with a seriousness that you don’t always find so easily these days.”
“When you get a chance, definitely pick up .”
