” is back, and how! The Dutch pioneers in the stoner segment, which were considered to be retired, are back in business. In the early nineties they were considered co-founders of the Eindhoven Rockcity movement, together with Peter Pan Speedrock and 7 Zuma 7. Murphy van Oijen and Richard Plukker found a new drummer and bass player in Koen Rijnbeek and Roel Aben, to pick it all up, where they left it behind, to show the youngsters what stoner was all about, and still can be. The final result is available on CD and (joy oh joy) on vinyl; something this album certainly deserves! This release contains extremely catchy riffs, drilling their way deep into the listeners brain, to stick around there for a while. The vocals might sound like the singer caught a chronic cold, but even this can sound pretty fitting in the overall concept. The combinations by bass and guitar are very tasteful and effective, and as a desert some delicious soloing is presented. Actually every songs has something extremely attractive; a serious killer riff, spectacular soloing, or tasteful dreamy with a drop of Pink Floyd (the title track “”). Some tracks to warm you up: “Spin Off” (talking about soloing), “Punchline” (the perfect balance between heavy droning and dreamy floating), and “King Candy Town” (how does stoner sound with a bit of The Prodigy). A musical treat for anyone into this solid kind of music.”
