“Finland does not have a very strong sludge scene yet we know some excellent bands from there. Just think of Fleshpress, Frogskin, Stumm or Hebosagil. We also know that when a death metal or doom act hails from that country, they mean serious business. Still, the world has become a growing field of sludge bands, and so in Finland they pop up once in a while. is an act far more primitive and chaotic and more uncoordinated than I am used to in this scene. They even are too slow to be called sludge I guess but they can surprise the listener with a fast black metal tainted song like “Kumijeesus”. Through that old school primate guitar sound you hear a clear punkish influence that reminds me of Killdozer or any of those sleazy garage rock bands gone sludge bands from the eigthies. In all not a bad comparison I’d say and that difference makes worth your while! Limited to four hundred and twenty-five pieces of wax on the excellent Svart Records label.”
