” successfully returned last year with the album “Lillie: F-65”. That album was released by Season Of Mist. The same label now also re-releases 2 older albums: “” and “Die Healing”. You can read about the latter elsewhere in this issue of Lords Of Metal. The album “” (“Children Of Doom”) has a special place in the catalogue. After a few albums with original singer Scott Reagers and some albums with Scott Wino Weinrich behind the mic this is the only album that features a different singer. In 1990 Wino decided to quit and to resurrect his own band The Obsessed. Another singer was searched for and found. Christian Chritus Linderson was tracked down in Sweden. He used to be in Count Raven and sang on the 2 demos and the debut “Storm Warning”. Like said “” is the only album with Chritus and in general it’s not seen as the best album by the fans. This is undeserved as it is a fine album that includes all ingredients that we know saint Vitus for. That album from 1992 was produced by Don Dokken by the way and it was released on the legendary German Hellhound Records. A label that had the balls to release doom metal in the early 90s. At that time doom wasn’t the most popular genre. This re-release also contains two songs from a demo that was recorded in 1992 with Chritus on vocals. This makes this reissue quite interesting for the fans of the legendary . By the way, there will also be a vinyl edition! After “” Chritus left and was replaced by original singer Scott Reagers with whom “Die Healing” was recorded. Chritus kept busy though and continued with the band Terra Firma and later on also with Lord Vicar and Goatess. He’s still active with these last two mentioned.”
