“”” is the third full-length album by these guys from Sweden. Again this is a feast of monstrous riffs in a production which is as solid as a concrete wall, relating to stoner as well as pure doom. The origin of most riffs can still be traced back to the heydays of Black Sabbath material, but it’s very tasteful and skillful completed with breaks and freaky rhythm changes reminding of a heavy King Crimson on acid (more and better than their earlier releases). They even seem to have rewarded my request for even more great passionate guitars; loads of aroused fabulous soloing can be heard, and I just have to mention the great bass contributions also. The versatile tracks are all slightly longer than a common rock song, but my guess is these guys had a hell of a job limiting themselves, not stretching every track to the length of one whole side of a vinyl album. These guys can keep the attention of the listener, the music grabs you and keeps the tension until the very last second (or even makes you wish the song to have lasted even longer); the timing and variation as well as the expression and rapture that can be felt by the listener is really marvelous. Every track contains moments that make me as amateur musician extremely jealous not having been the one to come up with the idea. The previous album was already very much appreciated by me personally, but “” proves that it could even be better. This band should really have a chance with this high quality “modern” retro mix of Black Sabbath and (early) Mustasch; despite the roots from this music coming from a long time ago, I still grant this album the honorability of a future classic.”
