Like Buried At Sea, Indian, and Ocean, knows how to push the heavy when going full-on doom, suffocating you with pounding rhythms and distortion while offering brief respites in the empty spaces between notes. And like Mastodon, they also excel at playing complex, fast riffs. They even broach upon SunnO))) territory. Add to that music prowess the usual guttural, throat full of blood and glass vocals and you’ve got the makings of a winner. This is some uncompromising music. It exists in a category unto itself, one that’s best defined simply as ‘heavy”.
